This project involved the construction of a new 1-mile taxiway adjacent to the runway. This federally-funded project was completed utilizing the airport鈥檚 $6 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. This project increased capacity and helped provide a safer operating environment at the Marco Island Airport. This project was awarded Best Commercial Contractors Project 鈥� Infrastructure from the Lee BIA Summit Awards.
